JEFFERSON COUNTY, S.C. () – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Monday that a shooting incident near Louisville has resulted in one fatality. The tragic event unfolded on Friday, leaving three individuals injured by gunfire.
Officials reported that the violence erupted on March 13 following an altercation among a group, which escalated when shots were fired. Among the victims, Eli Harmon Jr., a 41-year-old resident of Louisville, succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to Jefferson Hospital. The other two individuals involved were treated for their wounds and subsequently discharged.
Harmon’s remains have been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab, where an autopsy was performed on Monday, March 16.
As of now, authorities have not identified all the parties involved nor have they pinpointed the shooter(s) responsible for the incident.
Authorities said it is not clear who all exactly were involved and who the suspected shooter(s) were at this time.
