Trump Fuels Feud with Megyn Kelly by Praising Her Competitor: A New Chapter in Media Showdown

In a recent development, former President Donald Trump entered the fray of an ongoing conflict between Megyn Kelly and her ex-colleague from Fox News, Mark Levin, offering his support to Levin by calling him a “Great American Patriot.”

The clash between these two prominent political commentators has escalated into a heated exchange on social media platform X, where Levin recently described Kelly as “emotionally unhinged” and a “petulant wreck.”

Kelly didn’t hold back in her response, firing back with a sharply worded post accusing Levin of misogyny.

On Sunday evening, Trump took to his platform, Truth Social, to voice his opinion. He defended Levin, suggesting that he was being targeted by individuals “with far less intellect,” although he refrained from mentioning Kelly directly.

In his post, Trump stated, “Mark Levin, a truly Great American Patriot, is somewhat under siege by other people with far less Intellect, Capability, and Love for our Country.”

‘He is a true Conservative, and Intellect, far smarter than those who criticize him but, above all, he is a man of Great Wisdom and Common Sense who truly loves our Country.

‘When you hear others unfairly attack Mark, remember that they are jealous and angry Human Beings, whose “sway” is much less than the Public understands, and will, now that they know where I stand, rapidly diminish.’

Conservative feud erupts as Megyn Kelly and Mark Levin trade insults

Trump’s comments come after Kelly criticized his administration for joining in with Israeli attacks on Iran in the last few weeks, something Levin has championed.

Levin branded Kelly ‘evil’ and ‘diabolical’ on Saturday after she reshared a post that said the suspect in the Michigan synagogue shooting lost his niece and nephew in an Israeli airstrike.

On Sunday he followed that up and said: ‘Poor Megyn Kelly. An emotionally unhinged, lewd, and petulant wreck. She’s completely revealed and destroyed herself.

‘She’s everything people say she is, but much worse. Never an intelligent, thoughtful, or substantive comment. Utterly toxic.’

Kelly responded: ‘[Small private parts] Mark thinks he has the monopoly on lewd. He tweets about me obsessively in the crudest, nastiest terms possible.

‘Literally more than some stalkers I’ve had arrested. He doesn’t like it when women like me fight back. Bc of his [Small private parts].’

Their spat represents a growing rift between conservative commentators which also includes Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro and Candace Owens.

Levin says he is ‘humbled’ by Trump’s praise

After Trump’s comments on Sunday night, Levin again posted to X saying he was ‘humbled’ by his support.

He said: ‘Mr. President: I am beyond humbled by your words and graciousness in writing such a beautiful note and sharing it on Truth Social.

‘I am honored that you took the time to write it. Your courage, strength, and moral clarity are truly unparalleled.

‘And your leadership has made our country and the world much safer. Both you and what you are doing deserve our support.

‘And I will not be intimidated or bow to threats. Through your insight and steady hand, America has been made great again.

‘It is an enormous honor to know you as my family and I do and call you, Mr. President, our friend. You’re one of a kind. Truly remarkable. Please be safe and God bless.’

Kelly and Trump have in the past had their own feud which started when Trump attacked her during a debate night in 2015 as she asked questions of the candidates.

She infuriated the president with a question over his treatment of women, with Trump going on to attack her after the debate, calling her a ‘bimbo’.

In 2023 Kelly said the tension between the two was water ‘under the bridge’. While campaigning in 2024 Trump said she was making a career ‘by pretending she likes me’.

Trump blasts Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson amid Iran bombing

Donald Trump says Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly have ‘no impact’ on his decisions after the conservative pair slammed his bombing of Iran.

The President revealed he is not bothered by criticism of his military actions from the former Fox News anchors during an interview with The Inner Circle on Monday.

‘I think that MAGA is Trump – MAGA’s not the other two,’ Trump said of Kelly and Carlson, who have publicly questioned the rationale for war with Iran in recent days.

‘MAGA wants to see our country thrive and be safe. And MAGA loves what I’m doing – every aspect of it,’ the President continued. ‘This is a detour that we have to take in order to keep our country safe and keep other countries safe, frankly.’

Kelly has led criticism among conservatives over the war, saying that she believes the US was dragged into the conflict and that American soldiers are losing their lives ‘for Iran or Israel .’

Trump fired back that Kelly should ‘study her history book a little bit.’ ‘Megyn was opposed to me for years when I ran the first time and nothing stopped me,’ Trump said.

‘And so, you know, some people are against – and they always come back. She came all the way back.’

Kelly said on her SiriusXM show that she fears the US will become embroiled in yet another foreign war for years to come and questioned whether war with Iran is in America’s interests.

‘Our government’s job is not to look out for Iran or for Israel. It’s to look out for us. And this feels very much to me like it is clearly Israel’s war,’ she said.

Trump brushed off Kelly’s opposition in his phone interview on Monday, saying: ‘I guess she maybe doesn’t like the idea of this war, but I do because I have to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of the Iranians.’

‘I have to do what’s right, number one -and you can’t have Iran getting a nuclear weapon. That’s predominant to me,’ Trump explained.

Carlson has been even stronger in his rhetoric against the war, telling ABC’s Jon Karl that he believes Trump’s strikes on Iran were ‘absolutely disgusting and evil.’
