Bethenny Frankel is on the mend after a beauty mishap left her with a cut on her face, but the incident has sparked a growing dispute with celebrity beauty expert Jamie Sherrill, also known as Nurse Jamie.
The former Real Housewives star took to social media on March 12, sharing a video with her followers that chronicled the unexpected injury. In the clip, Frankel demonstrated a beauty tool, resembling a suction cup connected to a glass tube, designed to enhance her skin’s appearance.
“These balls are supposed to contour your face,” she detailed in a TikTok post. “I grind my teeth, which makes my jaw pronounced and painful, so I thought this tool would offer some relief. I noticed some redness and assumed it was just my skin.”

However, the situation quickly took a turn.
As the video continued, Frankel realized something was amiss. “Wait, I’m bleeding. What the f***,” she exclaimed in shock. “Oh, my God. What is this?”
Frankel posted several videos breaking down the incident. She also showed fans a blood-covered paper towel.
“I just sliced my face open,” she said in a second video. “I’m actually flipping out.”
In the days that followed, Frankel continued to share updates with followers. She even went as far as to call herself “scarface” in several videos.

What Happened to Bethenny Frankel’s Face?
Frankel noted she saw the face contouring product on social media. After purchasing one for herself, she used it and actually cut her face.
“I don’t know if this is from packaging or hitting the counter or from suction but what the actual?” Frankel wrote in the comments section of her initial March 12 video.

In a second video, Frankel said she was “on the mend” and for followers to expect an update. On March 15, Frankel discussed her “scarface” at length.
“Things do happen in life. Accidents happen,” she said, noting that her face has been healing. She went on to say it’s “deplorable” that no one from the brand had reached out after seeing her videos, though she did admit to receiving a refund.
What Skincare Tool Cut Bethenny Frankel’s Face?
The product was the Nurse Jamie Uplift-N-Glow Cups. A set of two sell for $36.00.
In a separate TikTok from March 14, Frankel tried to see if she could recreate what happened by banging her second suction cup on her bathroom counter. The glass never broke.
“This was the smaller one and something effed up happened either from suction pressure or your guess is as good as mine,” the caption read. Frankel could be heard saying, “Things that go on your face are not supposed to break,” in the clip.
Did Nurse Jamie Respond to Bethenny Frankel?
Nurse Jamie took to social media with a video on March 15, claiming that the team “attempted” to contact Frankel four times via social media comments and DMs.
“Wanted to clarify our outreach and hopefully connect directly so we can better understand what happened,” the caption read. “Our tools are made from high-quality borosilicate glass, and customer safety is always our top priority. Thank you.”
Frankel clarified on March 16 that she did see Nurse Jamie’s video, calling it “dispassionate” and lacking “a bedside manner.” Frankel also made it clear that she would not be taking legal action.
“In life and in business accidents happen. I will be more careful in what I put on my face and body moving forward,” Frankel wrote. “The lord’s work is risky business.”
