Monday’s severe weather wreaked havoc across Bradford County, leading local authorities to take swift action in addressing the aftermath. In response, the sheriff’s office has launched a dedicated portal for residents to report any damage to their homes or businesses.
BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. — If your property in Bradford County sustained damage during the recent storms, there is now a straightforward way to report it.
The Bradford County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) reported a flood of calls to the dispatch center, detailing numerous incidents of fallen trees and downed power lines. Emergency crews were dispatched immediately to clear the debris and ensure the roads were safe for travel.
In light of these events, the county’s Emergency Management Division has sprung into action, commencing a thorough assessment of the storm’s impact. To facilitate this process, they have introduced the Citizen Self-Report of Damage Portal.
Residents whose homes or businesses have suffered damage can conveniently report it by visiting the provided link or accessing the Emergency Management button on the BCSO App.
BSCO does say that the portal is not monitored 24/7 and should not be used to report emergency situations. They want to remind people to call 911 in the event of emergencies.Â
