An alleged victim recently shared her harrowing experience in an exclusive interview with 9News, where she recounted the terrifying moment she feared for her life.
“I genuinely believed it was going to be my last day alive,” she expressed to 9News.
“Perhaps this is the day meant for me,” she added, capturing the intensity of her fear.
Meanwhile, a 15-year-old involved in the incident has announced plans to contest the charges against her.
Authorities have cautioned all parties involved that violating the AVO, which is intended to protect the classmate and the alleged victim, could result in more severe penalties.
The mother of the injured teen and other students who reached out to 9News have slammed the school’s handling of the incident.
They claim staff were aware of prior bullying incidents involving the same group but failed to act.
Education Minister Prue Car has demanded a review in the wake of the incident.
“I look forward to hearing what has happened so that we can learn from anything that has happened there,” she said.
The three alleged bullies have so far only been suspended, however 9News understands expulsion remains a possibility.
