A young boy is in critical condition following a fall from a train in the southern part of Sydney.
The 13-year-old tumbled from the train’s interior, landing on the tracks close to Engadine.
He suffered severe head trauma as a result of the fall.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the incident at the intersection of Princes Highway and Heathcote Road around 8:20 pm.
Paramedics from NSW Ambulance administered emergency care to the boy at the location.
He was taken to The Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick in a critical condition.
Officers attached to Sutherland Police Area Command established a crime scene.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway.
