SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Faculty and staff at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) have taken a decisive step toward a possible strike amid escalating tensions with university leaders over stalled contract talks.
The decision to authorize a potential strike was made public on Thursday during an on-campus rally. Members of the UIS United Faculty and UIS Staff Union came together to call for “fairer treatment” from the university’s administration.
