Bradenton Driver Sentenced to 25 Years for Tragic Crash That Claimed Mother of Two

BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — A man from Bradenton has been sentenced to 25 years in prison following a tragic high-speed drunk driving incident that resulted in a fatal accident. The crash, which occurred on November 2, 2024, led to the devastating loss of 37-year-old Sara Danielle Holmes, a mother of two young children.

Sara Holmes was a passenger in a vehicle that was violently struck by Cesar Navarrete. The impact was so severe that it split the car in half. Navarrete, who was driving at a reckless speed of 115 mph on Cortez Road, failed to brake or take evasive action before colliding with the Chevrolet Equinox driven by Holmes’ boyfriend.
