Meanwhile, Sam Braun, who plays privileged heartthrob Josh Regis, opened up about how the cast brought real spark to the complicated romance at the center of the series. The Josh, Teagan and Cam dynamic, he suggested, has the kind of messy, magnetic love-triangle energy that longtime Gossip Girl fans will recognize—only with a fresh new twist.
“So much of the cast are based out of Vancouver,” Braun shared. “So we all knew each other before starting the show and I kind of feel like that’s like a really special chemistry.”
Still, when it comes to where her loyalty lies, Martineau made it clear: she is Team Teagan above all.

“I think we all go through a lot of paths and navigation in our young adult lives so I think it’s great to have a story where a lot of kids can relate,” she told E!, pointing to the show’s mix of evolving friendships, underdog stories, social pressure and the confusion that often comes with figuring out love and relationships.
No matter which character or couple viewers end up rooting for in Crew Girl, Martineau promised the teen drama has broad appeal, saying, “There’s something for everybody.”
