A New Jersey woman is accused of trying to arrange the killings of her former boyfriend and his daughter through a Tinder match who was actually a confidential informant, authorities said.
Jaclyn Diiorio was indicted on two counts of using interstate commerce facilities in the commission of a murder-for-hire scheme, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said in a Sept. 9 press release. Diiorio intends to plead not guilty, her attorney told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Diiorio, a 28-year-old hairdresser, met her former boyfriend—a 53-year-old Philadelphia Police Department officer—while cutting his hair. They dated for about a year before ending their relationship on March 6, 2025.
Not long after the breakup, Diiorio matched on Tinder with a man who, unbeknownst to her, was also working as a Camden County confidential informant, according to a probable cause statement obtained by CNN. Authorities said they exchanged texts and phone calls before meeting at a Wawa convenience store in Runnemede.
Prosecutors said Diiorio told the informant she wanted her ex-boyfriend and his 19-year-old daughter killed, offering $12,000 for the two killings.
The pair met again on April 4, 2025, in the parking lot of a Dollar General in Gloucester Township. According to a probable cause statement obtained by NBC10, Diiorio entered the informant’s white Honda Civic, asked to see his driver’s license and gave him $500 before authorities arrested her.

“Once money was exchanged,” Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said during a press conference that month, “we knew that charges were appropriate.”
Diiorio was initially charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit murder and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The drug charge stemmed from an unlabeled bottle of alprazolam pills authorities said they found in her possession, according to the warrant.
Those initial charges were reportedly dismissed after the matter moved into federal court.
Diiorio is scheduled to appear for a detention hearing on Sept. 14. If convicted, she could face up to 20 years in prison.
Her attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Oxygen.
