Bruce Davis, a Charles Manson follower convicted in connection with two killings in 1969, has died at age 83, according to officials.

A spokeswoman for the Solano County Coroner’s Office confirmed Davis’ death to News Media but provided no further information. TMZ reported that Davis was pronounced dead at 11:03 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville, where he had been serving his prison sentence.
Davis received a life sentence in 1972 for his role in the murders of Donald “Shorty” Shea, a 35-year-old Hollywood stuntman, and Gary Hinman, a 34-year-old musician who was friends with several members of the Manson Family.
He was not identified as the direct killer in either case. Davis also was never accused of participating in the home-invasion murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four others.
