A woman was arrested after she allegedly met a man at a South Florida nightclub, went back to his home, drugged him and stole a Rolex watch worth nearly $100,000, court records show.
Lynda Mae Crouse, 32, is accused of carrying out a similar alleged scheme at least four other times in Miami-Dade County, drugging victims before taking their valuables, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The Broward County case that led to the charges dates to an April 12 encounter at the Carousel Club in Hallandale Beach. Investigators say Crouse began talking with the man at about midnight.
After exchanging Instagram information, the pair initially went their separate ways. Police said the man later sent an Uber to Crouse’s home at around 1:20 a.m. to bring her to his residence.

Crouse and the unidentified man drank several alcoholic beverages in his living room before he went to his bedroom to change clothes. Once there, he said he suddenly felt “funny” and “extremely tired,” the affidavit states.
The man told investigators that, while Crouse was alone in the living room, he heard a distinctive “clapping sound.” When he came back, he said Crouse was “acting different” and suddenly said she was going home. He fell asleep within minutes of her departure.
Several hours later, the man woke up still feeling unusual. Remembering the noise he had heard, he checked the Rolex box in his living room and discovered his gold, 40 mm diamond-bedazzled Rolex Presidential watch was missing.

The man later gave police an appraisal that put the Rolex’s value at $98,400. According to the affidavit, he also identified Crouse in a photo lineup.
Months later, on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, Crouse was arrested by Seminole police and taken to Broward County Jail.
She was charged with second-degree grand theft, a felony, and released the following day after posting $2,500 bond.

In another case investigated by City of Miami police, Crouse was accused of drugging a victim with zolpidem, a prescription sleep aid used to treat insomnia.
Unlike the Broward County victim, that person underwent toxicology testing, which confirmed the presence of zolpidem.
