Rain chances increase even more next week.
ORLANDO, Fla. – Tonight
East-northeast winds will continue pulling isolated showers inland from the Atlantic this evening and through the overnight period. Most of the activity is expected to weaken before reaching areas west of the Interstate 95 corridor. Coastal rain chances will range from 20% to 30% tonight, with probabilities decreasing farther inland. Overnight lows will settle in the mid-70s beneath partly cloudy skies.
Sunday
Sunday is shaping up to closely resemble Saturday, with an upper-level low remaining just west of Central Florida. Counterclockwise circulation around that system will continue funneling moisture northward from the south. As a result, scattered sea-breeze thunderstorms are likely during the afternoon, generally moving from east to west. High temperatures should reach around 90ºF.
Next Week
Showers and thunderstorms could become more numerous early next week as additional moisture streams into Central Florida from the south, combining with instability associated with the upper-level low. Forecast models are also suggesting the season’s first fall cold front may arrive by late week. The front is expected to move across Central Florida early Thursday, bringing lower humidity and slightly cooler temperatures from Friday into the weekend.
