Beau Lamarre-Condon believed Jesse Baird was “the one” and was reportedly devastated when Baird made clear he did not want a romantic relationship.
Crown prosecutors alleged that Lamarre-Condon exploited his position as a senior constable to access CCTV showing Baird on a date with another man. He also allegedly monitored Baird while he spoke with other people.
Prosecutors further alleged that he watched Baird having sex with other men through the bedroom window of Baird’s Paddington home.
In August 2023, several months before the alleged killings, Baird reportedly woke to find Lamarre-Condon standing inside his bedroom.
Baird chased him from the house and along the street, but was unable to identify Lamarre-Condon as the person who had allegedly entered the property.
The court also heard that Lamarre-Condon allegedly broke into Baird’s home on a separate occasion, accessed his phone, erased messages and enabled a location-sharing feature.

On the day of the alleged February 2024 murders, the Crown said Lamarre-Condon entered Baird’s Paddington rental with a key he had “either copied or stolen”.
He allegedly entered the living room and fired twice at Baird. One bullet struck the base of his neck near the shoulder before exiting through his jaw.
The second shot allegedly passed through one side of Baird’s temple and exited the other, continuing through the floorboards.
Baird’s boyfriend, Luke Davies, had attempted to hide in the bedroom while calling triple-0.
Lamarre-Condon allegedly shot Davies in the head through the closed bedroom door.
