In April 2025, Aaron Rodgers told Pat McAfee that he was in a “serious relationship.” It appears the relationship became even more serious: Rodgers has since revealed that he is married.
Speculation began when Rodgers was photographed wearing a ring on that finger at the 2025 Kentucky Derby in May. The rumors intensified a month later, when he wore the same ring while signing his contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
During his first press conference with Pittsburgh, Rodgers confirmed that the jewelry was, in fact, a wedding ring. He said he had gotten married “a couple months” earlier, though he stopped short of confirming whether his wife is “Brittani with an ‘i.’”
Rodgers’ reluctance to discuss his marriage may reflect his long-standing discomfort with public scrutiny. The veteran quarterback has previously acknowledged that he prefers to keep his personal life out of the spotlight.
“I didn’t do myself any favors with some of the girls I dated after that that were in the public eye,” Rodgers said in his 2024 Netflix docuseries Aaron Rodgers: Enigma. He also admitted that he “definitely hated it at first—like really despised it” when increased fame brought constant attention. “I enjoyed my private life. I enjoyed being able to go places. But from Super Bowl MVP, MVP, State Farm commercials, that got a little more difficult,” he said.
Rodgers did offer one personal detail during an appearance on the Not Just Football podcast. He said he first met his wife in 2017, explaining that the pair later reconnected. “At the time, she was leaving the states and going back to Europe and my biggest regret is not begging her to stay or just, like, proposing right there,” he recalled.
