Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson spent part of Friday night watching high school football together.
The 74-year-old North Carolina coach and his 25-year-old girlfriend were seen in the press box Friday as Archbishop Spalding routed Gilman, 32-0, in its home opener. WMAR2News reporter Avi Carr-Gloth spotted the couple in Severn, Md.
Belichick sat beside Hudson and another man, pen in hand, while checking his phone during the game.
Hudson wore a black baseball cap, dark sunglasses and a Tar Heel blue top while watching the game.
According to Carr-Gloth, Belichick attended the matchup to evaluate several highly regarded prospects while North Carolina had a bye week.
The six-time Super Bowl champion arrived well before the 7 p.m. kickoff and left after the third quarter, Carr-Gloth reported.
Archbishop Spalding features several prominent recruits, including 2028 offensive lineman Bryce Smalls, 2028 wide receiver Kam Miller and 2029 quarterback Brian Snowden Jr. Gilman has running back and safety Aiden Johnson on its roster.

Belichick’s second season in Chapel Hill has begun more positively, with the Tar Heels sitting at 2-1 after last week’s hard-fought 28-20 loss to Clemson. North Carolina is scheduled to host No. 3 Notre Dame on Oct. 3.
The Tar Heels finished 4-8 last season.
Despite the encouraging start, the North Carolina football program continues to face distractions away from the field.
The university recently completed an internal investigation into the program, while Belichick saw general manager Mike Lombardi and his son, Steve Belichick, resign.
Steve Belichick, North Carolina’s defensive coordinator, has been on medical leave since Aug. 6 and is scheduled to leave the program Oct. 27.
Lombardi was placed on administrative leave in late July after employees filed complaints against him.
The investigation, conducted by an outside firm, examined allegations involving drug use and sex within the program, along with concerns about the workplace culture, according to WRAL News.
The review identified isolated incidents that reflected “a disregard for Carolina’s values and standards of conduct.”
North Carolina Chancellor Lee Roberts nevertheless reiterated his support for Belichick earlier this week.
“Coach Belichick continues to have our support, the support of the administration and of the board [of trustees],” Roberts told reporters Thursday. “He understands that that support comes with expectations around conduct and behavior. Nobody understands that better than coach Belichick.”
