Country singer Ella Langley showed little interest when TikTok influencer Tiki asked her out after her concert in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Thursday night.
The 27-year-old newcomer, whose hit song Choosin’ Texas has surpassed Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas on the Billboard charts, went viral for bluntly rejecting the fan, who made his romantic overtures known by yelling through a parking lot fence, as seen in a video posted to his TikTok account.
“Ella, how many likes would it take to get you to go on a date with me?” Tiki called out.
Standing behind a fence with members of her band, Langley initially appeared startled by the question before responding.
“Not enough in the world,” she replied, then turned away and shook her head, seemingly taken aback by his bold approach.
“Ahhh,” Tiki could be heard sighing.

Tiki, who describes himself as a streamer, appeared to take the rejection in stride. Turning toward the camera, he said, “You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.”
The line is a familiar quote attributed to hockey great Wayne Gretzky.
Viewers were split over the exchange, with some arguing that Langley’s response had been unnecessarily harsh.
“This rubbed me the wrong way. And I like her,” one fan commented.
“Literally what is her problem?” another viewer asked.
A third person suggested, “She could have laughed and said no in a whole different way.”
Other fans defended Langley, saying she was entitled to establish a boundary after being shouted at in public—and through a fence, no less.
“Being screamed at 24/7 would get irritating,” one supporter wrote. Another came to Langley’s defense, saying, “There’s no way yall are mad at her for reacting negatively to a kid screaming at her asking to take her on a date in front of her team??? Yall gotta go outside.”

Another fan said the moment made them admire Langley more: “This made me like her even more. Its not her job to be nice to random men. She set her boundary, respect it.”
Yet another defender added to the mix: ‘She doesn’t have to go on a date with a random guy just because he asked.. are y’all okay???’
Amid the back-and-forth, Langley explained her terse response to Tiki’s over-eager proposition in the comments.
‘It was meant to come off as dark humor. You said that and it got quiet and I got nervous,’ she wrote.
Tiki wouldn’t have stood a chance anyway, as Langley appears to have another fellow.
Langley is reportedly dating country singer Tucker Wetmore, 26, per E! News.
They first sparked romance rumors nearly a year ago.
Neither has commented on their relationship status, but they were photographed subtly leaving the Nashville Songwriter Awards together through a side door at the Ryman Auditorium on September 22.

And the pair appeared to be giving each other warm looks while performing a duet of his song Sunburn at the Heart Strings for Hope event on March 10, according to the outlet.
Langley is a breakout star in the world of country music, having transitioned from newcomer to record-breaking chart-topper.
After years of playing local bars and festivals in Alabama, she moved to Nashville in 2019 to write songs and build her name.
She achieved success with her mega-hit Choosin’ Texas, which topped the Billboard charts this year.
