A Tennessee man was allegedly shot and beaten, with several of his teeth knocked out, during an attack that led to the arrests of a man and a woman, authorities said.
Bailey Jobin, 23, and Joseph Polk, 20, are each charged with aggravated robbery, according to Shelby County court records reviewed by Law&Crime.
Polk is also charged with using a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and theft of property valued between $2,500 and $10,000.
According to an affidavit of complaint, the victim said he was picked up Wednesday by Polk, Jobin and an unidentified man. The group drove him to a home on Pope Street in Memphis.
Jobin allegedly helped “orchestrate the luring” by persuading the victim to get into the vehicle with her, investigators said. She sat in the backseat beside him while the two men occupied the front seats.
After they arrived, another man pulled up to the property. The victim reportedly owed him money connected to a vehicle. That man allegedly dragged the victim from the vehicle and demanded payment.

The victim was allegedly forced to strip naked and ordered to walk into the backyard. He refused, telling the men, “You’re going to have to kill me here.”
Polk then allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the right thigh. Two other men reportedly punched him repeatedly in the head, knocking out several teeth.
The suspects allegedly took the victim’s cellphone before leaving the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital as the Memphis Police Department opened an investigation. Deputies later spoke with him and obtained details about the alleged attack.
Authorities have not released an update on the victim’s condition.
Jobin and Polk are due back in court Monday.
