But by Saturday morning, the reality star had traveled thousands of miles, flying to China to stand beside her mother, Kris Jenner.
Kris, 70, is currently visiting the country after going viral across Asian social media. Her image has been incorporated into a popular trend associated with wishes for luck and prosperity.
Kim, 45, made her own fashion statement for the occasion, arriving in a figure-hugging black mini dress with an elevated Mandarin-inspired collar.
The design echoed a traditional Chinese qipao, emphasizing her hourglass silhouette and sharply defined waist.
She completed the outfit with strappy heels and wore her hair swept into a sleek topknot.

The couple took a peaceful boat ride after dark and were photographed sharing a kiss beneath the sparkling Eiffel Tower.
The romantic update arrived soon after Kim appeared to reveal the nickname she uses for Hamilton.
She made the apparent reference during a Target shopping trip with her sister Khloe Kardashian in an Instagram video posted to her main account on Tuesday.
The sisters were filmed strolling through the aisles as they searched for a particular product.
Holding a small microphone, Kim first remarked, “I don’t think they do,” before quickly correcting herself. “Oh, they do!”
Pointing to a bottle of Almave, the SKIMS founder then asked, “Do you know who makes that?”

Khloe guessed, “Bridgerton?” Kim responded with a smile and an affirmative, “Yes.”
Almave is a non-alcoholic blue agave spirit co-founded by Hamilton and introduced in 2023.
The sisters laughed over the exchange before Kim reached for one of the bottles from the shelf.
Later in the clip, she was seen combining the Almave with Update, her caffeine-free functional beverage.

And in July, Lewis made a rare comment about his relationship with The Kardashians star.
While at the Silverstone Circuit racing venue in England, a fan said: ‘You’ve been a happier man recently, why’s that? Could that be a girlfriend?’
He replied: ‘Yeah, that’s a good one!’ before later adding: ‘Of course, of course, it’s Kim.’
Lewis has also met the star’s four children whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, eight, and Psalm, seven.
