The murder trial heard its closing evidence on Friday, including CCTV footage that allegedly showed Beau Lamarre-Condon posing as an Uber Eats delivery driver on the morning of the killings.
The video captured Lamarre-Condon walking along Brown Street in Paddington, close to Baird’s share house, on February 19, 2024.
Wearing a high-visibility yellow jumper, blue trousers with reflective strips, boots and a large black motorcycle helmet, he appeared to linger in the street before eventually entering the property.
Three gunshots were later audible on a security camera recording from a neighbouring home.
The court had earlier been told that Lamarre-Condon allegedly asked his friend Georgia Cook: “What would you do if I told you I killed someone?” He also allegedly asked whether she would help him conceal a body.
Cook told the court on Friday that she first met Lamarre-Condon at a boat party in 2021. The pair remained in contact through phone calls, coffee meetings, dinners and social media.
She said Lamarre-Condon began discussing Jesse Baird with her in 2022, telling her he had met someone who made him “really happy”.
In December that year, while describing a farmstay he had taken with Baird, Lamarre-Condon allegedly remarked: “I did do one crazy thing.”
“He looked at Jesse’s phone and saw messages from another man who was a potential interest,” Cook told the court.
According to Cook, Lamarre-Condon was “infuriated” and worried that Baird was seeing other people.

The pair met for Thai food in Kirribilli on May 29, 2023. Cook said Lamarre-Condon allegedly raised the subject as soon as he sat down, asking: “What would you do if I told you I’d killed someone?”
“I froze. He said, ‘Would you help me hide the body?’ I said, ‘No, because I don’t want their ghost to haunt me’,” Cook told the court.
She said he then replied: “Don’t worry, I didn’t do that, but I did something else crazy.”
Cook alleged that Lamarre-Condon went on to say he had been monitoring Baird from outside his home.
He allegedly told her he had watched Baird having sex with other men, as well as Baird and his friends taking Polaroid photographs in the backyard.
Cook said Lamarre-Condon was particularly upset because he had bought the Polaroid camera for Baird.
“He watched where Jesse left his key,” she told the court.
“Once they left in an Uber, he got the key, unlocked the door, stole the camera, ate Jesse’s Easter egg, and he wouldn’t tell me what else he did.”
Lamarre-Condon allegedly told Cook that he used his mother’s car while watching Baird’s home to avoid detection, and that he would disguise himself with a black beanie.
Cook is due to complete her evidence when the trial resumes on Monday morning.
