ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando audiences, your chance to see Alexander Hamilton is almost here.
The hit Broadway musical “Hamilton” is bringing its North American tour back to downtown Orlando for a multiweek run.
Created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the hip-hop-inspired musical chronicles the life of Alexander Hamilton, the nation’s first U.S. Treasury secretary. The production has earned 11 Tony Awards, including Best New Musical.
“Hamilton” has also received the Pulitzer Prize for drama, a Grammy Award and the Edward M. Kennedy Prize for Drama Inspired by American History.

The story follows the Founding Father’s rise as he pursues honor, love and a legacy destined to influence the course of a nation.

The 2-hour, 45-minute production runs Tuesday, Sept. 29, through Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Following its Orlando run, the musical will travel to Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Naples and Jacksonville.
