Woody Harrelson and his wife, Laura Louie, made a rare public appearance together in New York City.
The 65-year-old Hollywood veteran and Louie, 61, stepped out of their hotel on Sunday. Before leaving, Harrelson discreetly handed the doorman a $100 tip.
Harrelson and Louie have been a couple for 39 years and married in 2008. They share three daughters: Deni, 32, Zoe, 30, and 20-year-old Makani.
The Zombieland actor is known for keeping his family life out of the spotlight, while Louie is said to be even more private and reclusive than her husband.
The couple’s most recent red-carpet appearance together came in 2023, when Louie and two of their daughters joined Harrelson at the premiere of his film Champions.
Louie has made a few solo appearances, including at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in December, when director James L. Brooks was honored with a star.

Harrelson and Louie first crossed paths in 1987 while he was starring on the sitcom Cheers. According to reports, he hired her as his personal assistant the very next day.
Louie remained in that role for three years before their professional relationship developed into a romance.
Before his relationship with Louie, Harrelson was briefly married to writer Nancy Simon. Their marriage lasted from 1985 until 1986.
After nearly two decades together, Harrelson and Louie exchanged vows in 2008 during an intimate ceremony in Maui, Hawaii.
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Deni, in March 1994, followed by Zoe in September 1996.
Their youngest child, Makani, was born in June 2006, roughly a decade after her sisters.
Away from his family life, Harrelson has maintained another enduring bond with fellow actor Matthew McConaughey. The pair met in 1997 while working on the comedy EDtv.
Their most celebrated collaboration arrived in 2014, when they played detectives Rustin Cohle and Martin Hart in the first season of HBO’s acclaimed drama True Detective.
The longtime friends have since reunited for the Apple TV series Brothers, a comedy built around the outrageous theory that the two stars could be half-brothers.
The speculation began after McConaughey said his mother, Kay “Ma Mac” McConaughey, once claimed she knew Harrelson’s father, convicted contract killer Charles Voyde Harrelson, around the time McConaughey was conceived.
The 65-year-old actor and his wife of 17 years were seen leaving their hotel, with Harrelson quietly giving the doorman a $100 bill.

The two have now turned the rumor into an eight-episode series.
McConaughey and Harrelson recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about their idea for the show, with the Oscar winner sharing, ‘We’d been chatting for years, and it was becoming quite an entertaining narrative amongst he and I and our families every time we got together since my mom said that line that night in Greece [about Harrelson’s dad].’
‘He’s the engine trying to get it done because he’s the one who believes it’s true, and who wants it to be true! For us to be brothers,’ McConaughey added.
‘It is true!’ Harrelson quipped, adding, ‘because Ma Mac did say, “I knew… your father.”‘
McConaughey joked that for Harrelson Ma Mac’s statement ‘means more than a DNA test. And if a DNA test comes out and says we’re not brothers, he’s gonna say, “That’s why you can’t trust science.”‘
McConaughey was born in Uvalde, Texas, while Harrelson was born in Midland, Texas, divided by roughly 279 miles.
The best friends later pieced together that Harrelson’s father, who was involved in dozens of murders in the 1960s and 1970s, had been on furlough around the time McConaughey’s parents were getting their second divorce.
Meanwhile, one of Harrelson’s other longtime relationships has been with fellow actor Matthew McConaughey as the dynamic duo first met in 1997 while filming the comedy EDtv (Above, in LA earlier this month)

Harrelson then said that McConaughey refuses to take a DNA test. McConaughey explained that if it turned out Harrelson’s father was also his father then he’d need to ‘unpack 56 years of who I thought my dad was.’
Harrelson also said that McConaughey ‘is more my brother than my brothers in reality, for years and years.’
Harrelson’s father received a life sentence for the 1979 murder of a judge. During childhood, Harrelson had little contact with his father, who abandoned the family when he was seven.
As an adult, he tried to rebuild a relationship with Charles, visiting him in prison until he died in 2007.
