President Donald Trump announced Sunday that his administration is creating a new Super Intelligence Force (SIF), selecting a team of senior officials to coordinate America’s approach to artificial intelligence.
The force will be headed by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton. He will work with Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor.
The panel is expected to oversee the government’s dealings with religious organizations, super intelligence companies, consumers and businesses developing AI technology.
Trump said the SIF would help preserve the United States’ global leadership in AI, a technology he described as potentially more transformative than the Industrial Revolution or the internet. He added that the initiative would be aimed at protecting American interests and improving the lives of citizens.
Clayton’s team will report directly to Trump and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
The president revealed the new force in a Sunday post on Truth Social, saying it was created following the White House Accord on Super Intelligence event he hosted the previous week.
That gathering brought some of the technology industry’s most influential figures to the White House, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia chief Jensen Huang and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei.
During the meeting, Trump said the administration would begin referring to artificial intelligence as “super intelligence” in government communications.

“We’re going to be signing a document today at about 5 o’clock, renaming artificial intelligence, because it’s not artificial, we all agree on that,” Trump said.
“We’re going to be renaming it super intelligence,” he added.
Trump’s enthusiastic support for AI, or “SI,” comes as some Democrats, including Senator Bernie Sanders, have urged a pause in further development. Critics warn that rapid advances could displace American workers or leave them at a growing disadvantage.
White House officials have nevertheless argued that US laboratories must continue advancing the technology. They say American leadership is essential to ensuring that China and other geopolitical rivals do not gain control of the rapidly expanding AI sector.
Trump made the announcement alongside executives who had attended the White House event, including Anthropic’s Dario Amodei, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, OpenAI’s Greg Brockman, X owner Elon Musk, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Earlier Sunday, the administration introduced America.gov, an AI-powered website intended to make federal information and services easier to access. Users will be able to perform tasks such as completing passport applications online and enrolling in Medicaid.

At the website’s unveiling, Trump said people familiar with Grok, Gemini or ChatGPT would immediately understand how to navigate America.gov, pointing to the popularity of those AI platforms.
The president also said government officials and technology executives had signed what he described as “almost a Constitution, in a way” for AI—an agreement he characterized as a significant form of protection.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg later confirmed that he and other participants had signed an AI safety accord at the White House.
‘We drafted a set of principles and commitments around building robust internal controls and detecting if there are any issues with the technology, coupled with multiple layers of auditing and control,’ he said.
Musk addressed reporters, correcting himself after errantly referring to ‘super intelligence’ as ‘AI’ when Trump was watching. Trump laughed and thanked Musk after the executive corrected himself.
