Trump Rips Fox News in Lengthy Rant Over Rally Coverage

President Donald Trump launched a rare public attack on Fox News after the MAGA-aligned network did not cover his Ohio rally.

Trump, 80, criticized Fox on Truth Social on Sunday morning, objecting to the network’s decision not to broadcast his event in Vandalia, Ohio, as he works to energize his supporters ahead of the midterm elections.

“Sad to see that Fox & Friends (Sunday) is not covering our packed house and incredibly enthusiastic (beyond!) Rally that took place in Ohio last night, or the ones in Alabama, Texas, or Oklahoma over the past two days,” the president wrote.

Trump held the rally nearly a month before the November 3 midterm elections.

The event was intended to support Republican Senator Jon Husted and GOP gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy as they campaign against Democrats Sherrod Brown and Amy Acton.

Trump faulted Fox News for leaving the rally off its television coverage, noting that other media outlets had reported on the event.

“Our people want to see our Rallies, and reports on our Rallies, on FoxNews, or they will very quickly stop watching (like I am doing right now!),” Trump wrote.

“Fox spends more time talking to Communists, Socialists, and Dumocrats, often without rebuttal, and MAGA is not, to put it mildly, happy.”

He also singled out Jessica Tarlov, a Fox News panelist and co-host of “The Five.”

“We don’t like stupid Jessica Tarlov, and all of the others, that are forced down MAGA’S throats,” Trump wrote. “These Rallies are the hottest things out there, tremendous love in those sold out arenas, and nothing shows up on Fox!”

Trump’s criticism also extended to Fox’s reported firing of Maria Bartiromo.

“Who makes these decisions at FoxNews? Probably the same loser that fired the great Maria Bartiromo because she complained about not being allowed to cover ‘TRUMP,’” the president said.

Bartiromo was dismissed in early September after allegedly revealing that her bosses had instructed her not to cover Trump’s July speech about election fraud.

“She’ll end up bigger and better than ever – watch! Cover our ‘happenings,’ and not the opposition to Greatness for America, or FoxNews will soon have the ratings of FAKE NEWS CNN or MSNOW (MSDNC),” Trump added.

“Remember, Fox tried this act once before, and almost went out of business (and always right before an election!). That can happen again!”

Several hours later, however, Trump shared Fox News graphics and a segment highlighting his administration’s efforts to crack down on alleged fraud involving Obamacare.

The president has routinely taken shots at CNN and MSNOW and did so again at his Ohio rally.

He took particular aim at CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins: ‘She’s such an unhappy person. Young, nice person but she never smiles. She’s a very unhappy person.’

Trump is embarking on what he says will be a 32-day blitz ahead of the November 3 elections, with stops in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama and Ohio.

Husted, who was appointed to fill the Senate vacancy left by now-Vice President JD Vance, is running to win the seat outright against former three-term Senator Sherrod Brown.

Ohio is among several key races as Republicans and Democrats battle for control of the Senate.
