Jennifer Connelly proved that winter weather need not stand in the way of a striking outfit when she stepped out for a New York event on Sunday.
The actress braved the freezing temperatures in a tailored wool coat, pairing the polished outerwear with a thigh-skimming black ensemble that showed off her long legs as she crossed the snowy streets.

The 43-year-old carefully navigated the cold pavement in bare legs and strappy platform heels, keeping her gaze fixed downward as she walked.
After stepping out of her hotel, Connelly stopped to pose for fans, briefly opening up her double-breasted coat for the cameras.
Her understated make-up featured a touch of stylish pink lipstick, while the coat concealed most of her outfit. A glimpse of a patterned skirt could be seen beneath the hem.

The mother of three attended the event alone, without her actor husband Paul Bettany, whom she married in Scotland in 2003.

Connelly had previously been seen in the same tuxedo-inspired coat the week before, when she left her apartment to appear on the Late Show with its new host, Jimmy Fallon.

The actress recently shared that she and Bettany had decided that three children would be enough for their family.
‘I knew that we were going to be done after number three,’ she told Allure magazine in its February issue. ‘That’s enough for us.’
Bettany has since made his directorial debut with the drama Shelter, in which Connelly portrays a homeless woman.
‘One couldn’t feel more safe as an actor than knowing that the director’s your husband,’ she told the magazine.
‘It’s like, oh, if I really make a fool of myself, I can just say, “Honey, can you please not put that in the movie?” That was a great perk.’
