Gypsy Rose Blanchard has criticized Ken Urker’s sister, Autumn Urker, two weeks after Ken’s death.
“I’m tired of being quiet,” Gypsy said in an Oct. 13 Instagram video. “I’m going through the stages of grief, and right now, I’m going through anger. So, this might be a video I might regret later.”
Gypsy spoke about the escalating conflict between herself and Autumn, claiming the tension had been building for months before Ken was found dead at his Louisiana home on Oct. 1.
“It’s disturbing how tabloids and media outlets picked up on her BS just because they were related,” Gypsy said in footage. Gypsy, who shares daughter Aurora with Ken, added, “Instead of focusing on the fact that a child lost her father, I lost a partner, a mother lost her son.”
“It’s disgusting to see a family member take this as an opportunity to cash in because she didn’t make some money to get to Louisiana,” she continued. “And she was never here. She was never here. I spent the entire time with Ken’s family.”
The 35-year-old also said she deeply valued the time she spent with Ken’s family.
“The most important thing that I want to say is that I really loved him and he was a really good person,” Gypsy said of Ken. “Secondly, I want to make a point that just because someone is a relative of someone, does not mean that they are privy to any part of that individual’s life—Autumn wasn’t close with Ken and Ken wasn’t close with Autumn.”
She concluded, “I tried multiple times to make peace with her and it was not working out.”
Autumn previously told the Daily Mail that Ken struggled with the intense public attention surrounding his relationship with Gypsy.
“He had to sleep with a gun every night,” Autumn told the outlet in an interview published Oct. 8. According to text messages reviewed by the Daily Mail, Ken allegedly said he kept the gun for protection after receiving death threats linked to his relationship.
Autumn also claimed that her brother felt “humiliated” by recently leaked prison calls involving Gypsy and Ken. At the time of those calls, Gypsy was serving a seven-year sentence connected to the 2015 murder of her mother, Dee-Dee Blanchard.

In one 2025 call, Gypsy, who was then out of prison, spoke with an incarcerated friend about an alleged violent outburst after learning that Ken had written a note to a former girlfriend.
“I go grab a knife in the kitchen, and I go to that headboard, and I stab the motherf—king headboard,” Gypsy said in the call. “And I carve ‘wh—e’ in the headboard.”
What Happened to Ken Urker?
Ken was pronounced “dead upon arrival” at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on Oct. 1, a spokesperson for the Lafourche Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Oxygen.
According to an incident report, Ken was found lying in bed “cold to the touch,” with his “face and his arms” appearing blue.
The report also noted the presence of drug paraphernalia, a gun and “a brown powdery substance” near Ken.
“The handgun on the night stand was holstered laying next to two shot glasses and a syringe,” the report stated. “Nothing else inside of the bedroom appeared to be disturbed or moved.”
The investigation remains pending as authorities complete a toxicology report. Gypsy has said she believes Ken died from a drug overdose.
“I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” she told People. “He was not in a good state of mind lately.”
Gypsy also addressed the public scrutiny Ken endured.
“The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure,” she said. “I believe the tremendous weight of that scrutiny and harassment had a profound impact on him, and I hope his passing serves as a reminder that there is a real person behind every screen, every headline, and every comment.”
