RHOP Recap: Wendy Confides in Robyn, Calls Karen a Bad Friend

RHOP Recap: Wendy Admits Marital Issues to Robyn and Calls Out Karen for Being a Bad Friend, Gizelle Refers to Wendy as a Scammer as Tia Questions Husband About His Online Dating ProfileKaren hosts a “Sofia Home” gathering for the women on this episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. Bringing the group together proves complicated, however. Tia is still processing the discovery that her husband has been using a dating app, while Stacey and Courtney reflect on their complicated relationships. Meanwhile, Wendy learns what Gizelle truly thinks of her and attempts to resolve lingering issues with Karen. Will the conversations bring the women closer—or create even more tension?

Tia tells Stacey and Wendy that she directly asked her husband, “How long have you been on it?”—referring to the online dating site. He admits that he had been using it for at least a year because he felt lonely and was seeking attention. Tia says she feels humiliated that she had to ask her husband to delete the app herself. She becomes emotional while imagining her daughter learning about the situation, insisting that what happened is unacceptable even though the shame should not be hers to carry.

Meanwhile, Karen prepares to celebrate her release with a “Sofia Home” event, inspired by The Color Purple.

At home, Stacey spends time with her ex-husband, Thiemo Rusch, who has once again become part of her life. Hoping to strengthen their relationship, the pair agrees to prioritize date nights and spend more focused time together. Stacey tells Thiemo about Tia’s husband being on a dating site and says the revelation has made her appreciate her own relationship. They laugh off Tia’s remark that Stacey married up and choose not to take it seriously.

Wendy visits her mother and appreciates the renewed closeness they have developed since Wendy’s legal troubles began. She says her mother makes her feel supported, while she believes the other women are simply waiting for her to fall. Wendy’s mother is fond of Eddie and promises that the couple will remain married despite the challenges they are facing. Wendy discusses her upcoming hearing and admits she hates how the situation has affected so many people.

Courtney reveals that she is pursuing ordination, adding another accomplishment to her basketball wife résumé. She also discusses her 16-year marriage and the two years she and her husband spent separated after both were unfaithful. Now stronger than ever, they hope to welcome a daughter into their family.

Tia is preparing for her mother’s three-month visit from London, but her home life is unraveling because of the situation with her husband. Although she is not concerned that her children will notice the tension, Tia worries about the deeper problems affecting their marriage.

Gizelle goes hiking with a friend, and the conversation quickly turns to the latest drama. They discuss Tia’s husband, with Gizelle’s friend pointing out that it looked suspicious for Gizelle to show the information to Ashley before bringing it to Tia. Gizelle realizes she should have acted as Tia’s friend first.

Wendy meets with Robyn and explains that the Robyn she once knew was always Gizelle’s closest ally. Robyn, however, says she is approaching the meeting peacefully. She believes the group’s toxicity previously prevented the two women from having a normal friendship.

Wendy says her relationship with Eddie is in a better place now, though the early stages were “rough.” She speaks candidly with Robyn, suggesting that she may have been blindsided by what happened.

“When everything happened, Robyn, it was rough. He’s so used to me like cracking out on him… I think he has PTSD,” Wendy admitted.

Robyn also notices a recurring implication in Wendy’s comments: that Wendy may be holding Eddie partly responsible for the legal crisis or for the problems surrounding it.

“I get the feeling that Wendy is kind of maybe blaming Eddie,” Robyn said in her confessional. “If you’re saying there are some issues, then that means you might have been blindsided.”

RHOP Recap: Wendy Confides in Robyn, Calls Karen a Bad Friend

Wendy has lunch with Robyn and opens up about the strain her legal drama has placed on her marriage to Eddie

Wendy makes it clear that she was upset by Robyn and Gizelle gossiping about her arrest and joking about it on their Reasonably Shady podcast. Robyn responds that if information is already public, the podcast will discuss it, but insists she is “not with the bullsh*t.”

Gizelle meets Tia at a spring festival in an effort to repair their friendship. She admits she handled the situation poorly and says the information should have come directly from her rather than Ashley. Tia tells Gizelle that she needs a friend who puts her first and asks her not to discuss her on the podcast.

Tia says she has remained calm while dealing with her husband and reveals that she previously caught him on a dating site when they were newly married. Gizelle shares her own experience with her ex-husband and advises Tia to give herself a year before making a final decision about the marriage.

Tia wants Gizelle to show more support for Wendy, but Gizelle struggles to understand how Wendy could have committed a crime. She calls Wendy a scammer and a criminal, while also acknowledging that Wendy is already struggling and does not need to be attacked further.

“The Grand Dame is back like she never left.” Ashley is the first woman to arrive at Karen’s “Sofia Home” party, although the theme leaves the other guests confused. As the women try to make sense of the event, Ashley and Tia speak privately, and Ashley admits she needs to approach the situation with more softness.

Karen makes her grand entrance dressed as Sofia Home, gray wig and all. But don’t get it twisted, Sofia was not coming home to a med spa like Karen is. Karen talks about her soft era now and she shares the personalized treatments she has planned for each of the women.

They are a bit shady as she shares the reasons, like Robyn needs a liquid IV for energy because she is thirsty. Karen explains that she has an “ambitious track” growing out of her booty and so she will get that taken care of for her hubby.

No one is sure why Karen is getting this treatment, considering she is not wearing her ring. Karen asks that Robyn be patient with her as she works out the kinks in her relationship, but it leaves the women scratching their heads.

Tia shares that things between her husband, Rob, are cordial. Wendy believes that maybe they will come out of this together and stronger. Tia points out that Courtney was separated from her husband for two years and have come back together, much like Stacey and her husband.

Tia lets Wendy know that Gizelle called her a scammer and shares Gizelle’s position on the situation. Wendy only wants positivity around her and now she feels like Gizelle is her enemy. Wendy is grateful for Tia and Stacey and makes it clear that she needs to have a conversation with Karen.

Post treatments, Gizelle shares that she is going to speak to Congress and asks for some advice from Wendy, as Wendy is savvy in that sense. Wendy is irked that Gizelle would ask for her advice after calling her a scammer.

Karen opens the floor up to questions and shares that she always knew she would be able to make it through her hard time. She now talks to other women who are out, but having difficulties because they do not have what she has at home. However, Wendy calls Karen disingenuous. She points out that Karen wants to help women going through difficult times, but she kicks Wendy when she is down.

Karen explains that their charges were very different- she was sick and she made that choice to check herself into treatment.  But, word on the street is that Karen went to no rehab. Wendy wants Karen to take accountability for being a bad friend. However, Karen feels like Wendy was a bad friend to HER when she questioned Karen’s rehab stints.

Wendy reminds Karen that grown women don’t tell each other to STFU, but Karen explains she apologized for that and so it’s done.  Karen shuts Wendy down hard, leaving everyone looking around wondering what next.
