Australian Football Star Lachie Neale Holds Hands With New Girlfriend Emma Field

Lachie Neale appears to have moved on from his turbulent split with wife Jules earlier this year, stepping out publicly with his new girlfriend, Emma Field.

Despite speculation that the relationship would not last, the AFL star looked completely smitten with the glamorous brunette as they arrived at Brisbane Airport on Wednesday.

The couple walked hand in hand throughout the terminal, presenting a united front as they made their way through the airport.

Emma, 29, embraced the footy WAG look in a sporty burgundy and white Jagger & Stone T-shirt, which she paired with white jeans and matching white sandals.

Her dark hair was styled sleek and straight, while she completed the polished look with a full face of makeup.

Lachie, 33, who previously played for the Brisbane Lions, opted for a far more relaxed outfit. The midfielder wore baggy tracksuit pants with a matching black T-shirt, socks and slip-on shoes.

The new Collingwood Magpies recruit was travelling to his new home state of Victoria, although his allegiance to the Lions remained visible. Lachie carried a backpack bearing the Brisbane club’s branding as he made his way through the airport.

The couple also appear to be going from strength to strength, with Lachie taking Emma as his date to the Lions’ Club Champion dinner at The Star last month.

Last year, Lachie attended Brisbane’s best and fairest awards with Jules, only weeks before their marriage ended amid reports of his alleged affair with her best friend, Tess Crosley.

A year later, Emma looked delighted as she posted an Instagram photo from the event, where she accompanied the AFL star in place of his former wife.

Emma attracted attention at the dinner in a daring outfit, resting one hand on Lachie’s thigh while wearing a plunging black minidress.

The dress featured a halter neckline that dipped down toward her stomach, along with a short hemline that highlighted her legs.

Lachie also appears to have a nickname for Emma, which came to light when the brunette shared a series of social media photos documenting their time together.

In one image, Lachie wore his 2026 AFL Grand Final jersey as he warmly embraced Emma while the pair posed at the MCG.

Lachie beamed as he placed an arm around Emma, who held onto him and smiled broadly for the cameras.

Another picture showed them from behind as they strolled down a scenic garden path on a bright sunny day, clearly enjoying their time together.

Emma captioned the gallery with some telling words: ‘A very fun couple of weeks.’

Lachie was quick to share his appreciation in the comments, revealing his pet name for his new partner: ‘Effy x.’

The couple have made a series of increasingly public outings as Emma cements her place as the AFL’s hottest new entry in the WAG rankings.

The footballer also had his partner by his side as he arrived back home after the Lions won the 2026 AFL Grand Final.

Lachie and his estranged wife Jules announced their separation in December last year after the former WAG claimed she had been betrayed ‘in the most unimaginable way’.

Their marriage breakdown became the subject of intense public scrutiny amid allegations involving Jules’ former close friend Tess. 

Lachie subsequently acknowledged responsibility for the split, but did not provide details about what had occurred. 

He stepped down as Brisbane co-captain in January and apologised while accepting the consequences of his behaviour.

The former couple have continued co-parenting their two children, Piper, four, and Freddie, one.

Jules, 36, returned to her hometown of Perth with the children before Christmas and recently purchased a house there.
