Brandi Glanville is opening up about her anxiety ahead of facial surgery, which she hopes will help uncover the cause of her ongoing health problems.
“I’m super nervous about this facial surgery tomorrow and I’m nervous about what my face will look like after, but health is wealth and that’s all I truly want,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 53, wrote on X Thursday, October 22.
During Thursday’s episode of her “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast, Glanville spoke in greater detail about the operation. She said she felt both “super excited” and “scared to death” as the procedure approached.
“Dr. Carlo Henrado is taking my face off on Friday and going to do an exploratory surgery to kind of do a power wash under my skin,” she said on the podcast.
Brandi Glanville is undergoing surgery in hopes of finding answers about the mysterious changes to her face. “Something is in my face, eating it. I know they’re going to find that out when they go in there,” the RHOBH alum, 53, told listeners during the Thursday, October 8, episode of her “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast.
Glanville said Dr. Henrado planned to examine two areas beneath her skin that could be “fungal balls or something alive.”
“I think it’s alive, personally, because it moves when it wants,” she said.
She described the planned operation as an intense procedure, once again comparing it to a “power washer.”

“He’s, like, literally going in there with a power washer, basically, and knives and all this s**t. And then he’s spinning my blood and doing this platelet thing on the inside of my face,” Glanville said. She added jokingly, “We might not want my blood at this point.”

Glanville first wondered whether a facial parasite could be responsible after noticing signs of disfigurement in 2023. More recently, she said she had been diagnosed with “highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and Mononucleosis.” She has spent more than $113,000 on treatment attempts, with mixed results.
Earlier this month, Glanville used her podcast to update listeners on the unexplained condition and discuss her plans to explore surgical treatment.

“Something is in my face, eating it. I know they’re going to find that out when they go in there,” she told listeners on the October 8 episode of “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered.” “I’ve scheduled exploratory surgery in a couple weeks. I have two appointments this week. I am so excited. These past four years, I didn’t think I was going to make it.”
In September, Glanville became emotional on her podcast while revealing that a friend had created a GoFundMe campaign to help cover expenses related to her continuing health struggles.
“I’m on all of this crazy medication, [and] even with my insurance, it’s $7,000 a week. Then, I have creditors calling me all day,” Glanville said during the September 11 episode of her podcast. “[My friend], Gina, started a GoFundMe for me. I’m embarrassed, honestly, ‘cause I don’t like to ask for help.”
