Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly exchanged vows in a lush, storybook setting before more than 1,000 family members and friends, in a ceremony that appeared to come straight from one of the singer’s romantic music videos.
The setting was so dramatic—and the vows so emotional—that friends later said the wedding moved Kelce to tears.
Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lopez, Gigi Hadid and Julia Roberts were among the A-list guests watching as Adam Sandler officiated inside Madison Square Garden. The iconic New York venue had been transformed into the whimsical woodland setting Swift had envisioned.
By all accounts, the celebration was designed to be picture-perfect.
Yet once the champagne was poured and guests had danced to performances from Grammy winners including Stevie Nicks, a different team went to work. Crews dismantled the elaborate installation, removing millions of dollars’ worth of custom décor that had taken months to design and build.
So what happened to the elaborate wedding set? The Daily Mail has exclusively learned that it was allegedly transported from New York to Pennsylvania, where it was burned.
According to a source, Taylor Swift’s team allegedly instructed that the custom design elements created for her wedding be burned after the event
Swift and Travis Kelce, pictured after their August 2025 engagement, reportedly married less than a year later at a multimillion-dollar ceremony inside Madison Square Garden on July 3
The Daily Mail was told that Swift’s team allegedly directed workers to “dispose” of every decorative element, ensuring that no remnants of the lavish production remained.
“They didn’t want people to steal it and then auction it or sell it, so they just burned it all,” a source claimed in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail.
The alleged concern over resale value was understandable. Swifties had gathered around Madison Square Garden throughout the week in July, hoping to catch a glimpse of the wedding setup—or perhaps take home an overlooked piece of décor.
Fans who kept watch around the venue into the early hours did receive one consolation: leftover desserts from the couple’s catering company were reportedly handed out.
However, when it came to the elaborate backdrop for the wedding celebration, Swift’s team allegedly made clear that there could be “any traces” left behind.
The custom pieces reportedly included Colosseum-inspired walls, artificial trees, forest-printed fabrics, a 35-foot faux greenhouse and a peach-colored games tent. According to the report, the structures were taken to Pennsylvania after the ceremony.
Some of the construction work had reportedly taken place at Rock Lititz, a Pennsylvania production campus in Lititz known for its rehearsal studios and for helping artists prepare tour sets.
The precise location where the alleged burning took place has not been identified.

Swift’s team allegedly wanted to incinerate the wedding materials because ‘they didn’t want people to steal it and then auction it or sell it,’ according to a source
‘They had told us it was going to be incinerated, but I don’t know where they actually physically incinerated it,’ the insider said.
The Daily Mail contacted Swift’s representatives for comment on the alleged ‘burn’ request but did not receive a response.

The source claimed that Swift herself did not directly give the instruction.
‘The fact that no one has relics of it and it all had to get burned and properly disposed of is kind of crazy,’ the insider claimed.
The wedding design process started long before Swift and Kelce said ‘I do,’ as the Daily Mail was told the designs were constructed for months on the West Coast and then transported to the East Coast in 11 semi-trucks for the big day.
The source said it’s not unusual for large sets to be transported across the country but found 11 trucks to be excessive and ‘pretty crazy.’

The wedding materials were reportedly transported in 11 semi-trucks
Rock Lititz, a campus that serves as a site for artists to prep large sets for tours, was where Swift’s team had originally built out several of the wedding designs for practice purposes
‘They were super packed,’ the source said. ‘Eleven semi-trucks to transport cross-country and then just burn it all down was pretty wild just because you don’t want people [to have access to it].’
For the past three months, Swift has been able to keep many of the details of her wedding under wraps – including what her dress and reception looked like.
However, the Daily Mail exclusively obtained renderings earlier this week that showed the design plans for Swift and Kelce’s big day.
A source told us that Swift was heavily involved in every step of the process as she ‘didn’t want to just be handed a wedding. She wanted to participate in the planning and design of it all.’
But, the insider said, the Love Story songstress was no ‘bridezilla’ and was, instead, a joy to work with.
‘She was super nice. Super sweet. Very friendly. She took time to acknowledge all the hard work that everybody was doing. She was very appreciative,’ the source said.

We were also told that Swift and Kelce got along well ahead of their big day
Staff reportedly also found Kelce, 37, to be very easy-going and laid-back.
‘He would chime in every now and then but most of his comments were pretty minor,’ the insider said before adding of the couple’s dynamic: ‘We saw them smiling together. That was cute.’
Following their big day, the newlyweds continued the celebrations with a mini-honeymoon getaway to the exclusive Yellowstone Club resort in Montana.
Then, it was quickly back to work for Kelce, who had to go off to NFL training camp and has since hit the ground running alongside the Kansas City Chiefs.
For her part, Swift has been every inch the supportive wife, cheering Kelce on from the Arrowhead Stadium suites. And she’s found time to delve into projects of her own.
She recently dropped the chart-topping single Patient Zero which was released as part of The Encore, a deluxe edition of her album The Life of a Showgirl.
