Kelly Rutherford and Son Hermés Reunite on the Red Carpet for First Time in 10 Years
Kelly Rutherford and her son, Hermés Giersch, have made a rare public appearance together.
The Gossip Girl alum attended the Oct. 28 London premiere of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping with the 20-year-old, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Daniel Giersch. It marked the first time the mother and son had appeared together publicly in a decade.

For the occasion, Kelly embraced Upper East Side glamour in a metallic silver Karen Millen dress featuring oversized sleeves and a pleated skirt. She finished the elegant ensemble with coordinating heels and a matching handbag.
Hermés was equally polished in an olive green turtleneck, black trousers and a long checkered tweed coat by Burberry.
The family’s rare outing comes more than 10 years after Kelly’s highly publicized transatlantic custody battle involving Hermés and his younger sister, Helena Grace Giersch, now 17. The actress previously said she spent “every penny from Gossip Girl” on the legal proceedings. The dispute concluded in 2015, when a Monaco court ruled that the children would remain with their father in Europe after Daniel’s U.S. visa was revoked.
