The Bachelor alum Melissa Rycroft Strickland was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after allegedly crashing into an ambulance on Halloween night.
The arrest came only months after Strickland received probation for a separate driving while intoxicated case, according to CBS News.
Authorities said Strickland was driving in Southlake, Texas, at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Oct. 31 when her vehicle struck an ambulance stopped at a stop sign. Police detailed the incident in a statement.
Police allege that Strickland left the scene of the crash before officers stopped her a short time later and took her into custody.
She faces charges of driving while intoxicated, second offense; accident involving damage of more than $200; and driving with an invalid license, police said.
Strickland was taken to the Keller Regional Detention Facility. Jail records show that she is being held on a combined bond totaling $9,000.
Oxygen contacted her attorney, Bret Martin, for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
Melissa Rycroft Strickland Was Sentenced to Probation Earlier This Year
A spokesperson for the Tarrant County district clerk’s office confirmed to Oxygen that Strickland was sentenced to probation in August after an earlier driving while intoxicated charge.
That case followed a Sept. 23, 2025, crash in which a black Cadillac Escalade struck a tree at approximately 12:05 p.m., according to a statement from Southlake police provided to People.

“Prior to the crash,” police said, “witnesses reportedly observed the Escalade driving erratically.”
Strickland was arrested at the scene after completing a standardized field sobriety test.
“No other vehicles were involved,” authorities said, adding that “no injuries were reported.”
Several months later, Rycroft Strickland expressed gratitude to fans who continued to support her.
“Life really sucks right now and I’m struggling, but I’m trying to march forward,” she wrote in an October 2025 social media post, per People. “But thank you for the sweet words in what seems like a world of negativity….”
Under the terms of her 20-month probation, US Weekly reported that Strickland must complete 36 hours of community service, take a DWI education course and undergo a substance abuse evaluation. The judge also barred her from using drugs or alcohol and ordered her to submit to drug and alcohol testing.
Oxygen also sought comment from the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office but did not receive an immediate reply.
The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader rose to wider fame on Jason Mesnick’s season of The Bachelor. Mesnick proposed to her during the finale, but ended their relationship at the reunion to pursue his current wife, Molly Mesnick.
Strickland, who shares three children with her husband, Tye Strickland, later competed on Dancing With the Stars.
