Cara Delevingne Stuns Fans With Unrecognisable Halloween Transformation

Cara Delevingne has left fans stunned with her Halloween costume, recreating one of John Travolta’s most memorable recent looks in a striking series of photos.

The model channelled the Hollywood icon in a sharp black suit and the distinctive white beret Travolta wore at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Delevingne documented the transformation on Instagram, sharing several images of the finished costume alongside a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how the character came together.

Adding a playful caption, she wrote: ‘I hate gay Halloween… what do you mean you are John Travolta at Cannes!’

The unexpected tribute prompted amused reactions from fellow stars. Actress Renee Rapp commented, ‘I’m still laughing,’ while Rachel Zegler responded: ‘CARA AHAHAHAH.’

Travolta himself had generated plenty of online buzz at Cannes after appearing in three different berets during the festival.

In an interview with CNN, the cinema legend explained that his stylish headwear was chosen for a specific reason during the premiere of his directorial debut.

‘The old school directors wore berets and the glasses. And I thought, that’s what I’m doing,’ he told the outlet, describing his approach to directing Propeller One-Way Night Coach.

Travolta said the distinctive outfit would also help him recall the occasion years later. ‘I’ve been around for over 50 years doing movies, but I can’t tell, when I look back, the difference between the events.’

‘And I said, “I’m a director this time. You’re an actor, play the part of a director. Look like an old school director,”‘ he continued, explaining that he had ‘looked up pictures’ of celebrated filmmakers for inspiration.

‘I’m gonna do an homage to being a director,’ he said of the memorable red-carpet ensemble.

‘So I’m gonna play the part of being a director and then when I look back, I’ll know, “Oh, that was Propeller One-Way Night Coach, that was Cannes, that was when I won the Palme d’Or.” And I will have vividness of it.’

Although Travolta did not identify the filmmaker who influenced the look, his beret may have been a nod to The Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola, who is frequently associated with the style.

Acclaimed Swedish director Ingmar Bergman was another celebrated filmmaker known for wearing the distinctive headgear.

Travolta’s beret streak started on his way to the event, as he rocked a navy version of the hat while piloting his own plane to Cannes with his daughter Ella Bleu.

‘Big day, big night in Cannes. Stay tuned!’ he captioned an Instagram video showing the journey.

Later on Friday and then Saturday, the actor turned heads twice as he stepped out with new versions of the eye-catching look.

Travolta was later seen weeping as he was presented with an honorary Palme d’Or ahead of the world premiere of his directorial debut.
