NEWBERRY, Fla. – Kathryn Robynne Blackmon, 34, was arrested yesterday after authorities accused her of battering an elderly woman, spitting in a man’s face and spitting on a sheriff’s deputy.
According to an Alachua County Sheriff’s deputy, the alleged victims said Blackmon had acted aggressively and argued with people throughout the day. She allegedly told each victim separately that she would “beat [their] a**.” Investigators said Blackmon grabbed and squeezed the elderly woman. When the male victim stepped in, Blackmon allegedly spit in his face.

Blackmon reportedly denied that a physical confrontation had taken place. However, authorities said she resisted when deputies attempted to handcuff her after informing her that she was under arrest. During a search conducted by a female deputy, Blackmon allegedly spit in the deputy’s face and later kicked her. Once placed inside a patrol vehicle, she reportedly shouted profanities, kicked the vehicle doors and refused to remain seated properly.
Blackmon, classified as a Violent Felony Offender of Special Concern, faces charges of domestic battery against a person age 65 or older, felony battery with a prior battery conviction, two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer without violence. Court records show 14 felony convictions, including 11 involving violence, along with 17 misdemeanor convictions, eight of them violent. She has served four state prison sentences and was most recently released in March 2026. Blackmon is currently on probation. Judge Adam Lee set bail at $105,000.
