Gourmia Recalls Air Fryers Nationwide After Dozens of Reported Burns

Gourmia has recalled approximately 175,951 air fryer ovens after receiving dozens of reports of consumers suffering burns while using the appliances.

The recall, initiated Nov. 5, covers Gourmia Stainless Steel Digital 9-Slice Digital Air Fryer Ovens. The doors may “unexpectedly close when bumped,” creating a burn risk for people removing hot food.

According to the recall notice, Gourmia received 57 reports of the oven doors closing without warning. At least 40 of those incidents resulted in burns to consumers’ hands or wrists.

The recalled appliances carry model number GTF7530 and UPC code 810002862779. Both identifiers appear on the product packaging and on a label affixed to the back of the air fryer.

Each oven features two spring-loaded glass French doors equipped with metal handles.

The air fryers were sold nationwide at Target stores and through Target.com from October 2021 through June 2026. They retailed for approximately $150.

Consumers should stop using the recalled air fryer immediately and contact Gourmia to request a free repair kit. To submit a claim, customers must complete an online form with details about the affected appliance.

A purchase receipt is not required to receive a repair kit. Gourmia says kits will be delivered within two to four weeks after a claim is submitted.
