Since her debut nearly 20 years ago, Hatsune Miku has become an iconic figure in Japanese pop culture. She continues to captivate audiences with a fresh collection of uniquely Japanese-themed items that encompass a wide range of products.

Renowned for his traditional ukiyo-e art, Katsushika Hokusai once again collaborates with the Vocaloid sensation Hatsune Miku. Building on the success of their initial partnership in 2025, this new collaboration introduces a series of items that blend Miku’s modern persona with classical artistic flair. Enthusiasts can explore and acquire a variety of items featuring these stunning designs.

This latest collection of Hatsune Miku x Katsushika Hokusai merchandise beautifully marries tradition with contemporary style. Miku is depicted in her signature outfit as well as in traditional Japanese attire from the Edo period. The collection includes landscapes inspired by Hokusai’s iconic works, such as “Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji” and a reimagined version of “The Great Wave off Kanagawa.” Additionally, there are playful renditions showcasing Miku in a cute, chibi form.

The second wave of Hatsune Miku x Katsushika Hokusai merchandise is the best mix of old and new, with the singer portrayed in both her usual attire and more classic Japanese clothes from the Edo period. The same goes for the landscapes, with one placing Miku amid Hokusai’s previous piece, “Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji.” Another remixes “The Great Wave off Kanagawa,” while there are also variants of these pieces featuring Miku as a super-deformed chibi.

Her outfits vary even across these related variants, so there’s a lot of variety in this new collaboration. Some were also done by artist iXima, perfectly blending the contemporary and the feudal in ways that make it obvious how Japanese Miku’s origins are. Likewise, there are just as many options for how fans buy these pieces, all of which apply to numerous items.

These items include desk mats (around $30 USD), mini shikishi, cheki cards and stickers (~4 USD), big can badges (~7 USD), bath towels (~$40 USD), pouches (~$13 USD), tote bags (~$20 USD), t-shirts (~$22 USD), folding fans (~$15 USD), die-cut acrylic stands (~$13 USD), postcards (~$2 USD), hand towels (~$6 USD) and plushies (~$53 USD).

Some have all the artwork options, while others, such as the plushies, have only a few. They take images of Miku from the foreground of the artwork and turn them into huggable, kawaii pals. The Hatsune Miku x Hokusai collection of 2026 merchandise can now be ordered from websites such as Good Smile Company, making it easy for fans Japanese and non-Japanese alike to purchase these borderline “historical” products.

These are far from the only recent ukiyo-e collab items; other examples of this cultural cornerstone include an upcoming set of ukiyo-e Gundam model kits. Besides the ukiyo-e items, the year 2026 is going to be a big one for the increasingly iconic anime-adjacent character, with parent company Crypton Future Entertainment having recently revealed the new, slightly more modernized Hatsune Miku design for the latest version of the Vocaloid software.
