On day one, My Dress-Up Darling will be accessible to subscribers in the U.S., Spain and the UK. However, as of writing, Netflix Spain is the only branch to officially reveal the anime’s release date.

My Dress-Up Darling Arrives on Netflix in North America This April

My Dress-Up Darling already has an impressive streaming presence in Asia. On Netflix, the show is available in Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. The aforementioned streaming expansion now brings the tale to several major regions in the English and Spanish-speaking world.

The My Dress-Up Darling anime is based on Shinichi Fukuda’s hit manga of the same name, which launched in Young Gangan magazine in January 2018. Set up like a classic ‘opposites attract’ love story, the series revolves around Wakana Gojo, an introverted loner with a passion for making Japanese hina dolls. One day, his beautiful creations catch the attention of his classmate Marin Kitagawa — an extremely popular girl who is passionate about cosplay. Despite his shy personality and a traumatic past event, Gojo agrees to help design Marin’s outfits.

April 2026 is shaping up to be a terrific month for anime on Netflix. The month kicked off strong with the return of Overlord Seasons 1-4. Produced by Madhouse (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End), this uniquely gritty isekai anime revolves around the players of a fantasy VR game called Yggdrasil. When an ordinary player named Momonga is transported into the game’s world as his avatar — a high-level, magic-wielding skeleton Lich — he decides to pursue his dream of conquering the world of Yggdrasil.

For those who prefer more lighthearted anime fare, the Spy x Family anime series is also coming to Netflix in the U.S. starting April 4, 2026. Co-produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, the smash-hit action-comedy series focuses on the daily misadventures of an elite spy, an infamous assassin and a five-year-old telepath who live together under one roof.

Other Netflix acquisitions that have recently begun streaming or been confirmed for a release in the coming weeks include Dorohedoro Season 2, Wind Breaker Season 2, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, The Ramparts of Ice and One Piece: Elbaf Arc.

My Dress-Up Darling Season 1 will arrive on Netflix starting April 25. As of writing, it has not been confirmed whether Netflix also plans to host Season 2 of the anime, which initially aired during the Summer 2025 anime season. The My Dress-Up Darling manga series, published in English by Square Enix Manga & Books, is also available digitally on the Crunchyroll Manga app.
