Within the realm of anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! is predominantly recognized and cherished for its iconic Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duel Monsters series and the original manga. Now, one of the most memorable symbols from this era is making a comeback in an intriguing new style that captures the essence of the millennium.
The fashion and lifestyle label, SuperGroupies, has introduced the SuperGroupies x Yu-Gi-Oh! Collaboration Collection, featuring an array of chic items. Leading the collection is the SuperGroupies x Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Puzzle Pocket Watch, a modern take on Yugi Mutou’s treasured relic from the series. While it may not conjure the spirit of an ancient game-enthusiast pharaoh, it is the perfect accessory for any fan ready to embrace the challenge of a duel.
Inspired by the enigmatic artifact passed down to Yugi Mutou by his grandfather, the SuperGroupies x Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Puzzle Pocket Watch serves as a stylish nod to the anime. Weighing in at less than half a pound, it possesses a noticeable weight, making it far more than just a decorative trinket.
Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Can Unlock the Millennium Puzzle With New Pocket Watch Release
Emulating the mysterious item given to Yugi Mutou by his grandfather, the SuperGroupies x Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Puzzle Pocket Watch is a fashionable accessory that truly brings the anime to life. Despite being less than half a pound in weight, it has a substantial heft to it, making it more than just a branded paperweight.
Upon opening the pyramid, the minimalist watch design can be seen, giving it a look of both luxury and exoticism. Of course, the front is still very much based on the item as it looked like in the anime and manga, meaning that its function doesn’t detract from accuracy. If that weren’t enough, there’s even an included chain that allows users to wear it around their necks like Yugi does, though the spirit of the pharaoh Atem is sadly not included.
As mentioned, this is only one of several such items created by SuperGroupies to celebrate the notable manga, anime and trading card franchise. Other forms of merchandise from this new line include paperweights, a folding container branded with the Kaiba Corporation emblems, and even the boots worn by Seito Kaiba and Yami Yugi in the anime/manga.
Fans can now pre-order their pocket watches and other items on the SuperGroupies website, with the watch costing 18,700 yen, or around US$120. Pre-orders are open until April 20, with the duel-worthy timepiece expected to be shipped out to buyers sometime in August. The year 2026 also marks the 30th birthday of Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, which began as a manga in 1996 before also becoming a sprawling series of anime and trading cards.
