A teenager has been hospitalized following an alleged knife attack during a robbery.

Authorities have charged one of the individuals involved, who was reportedly on bail at the time of the incident, which took place in Melbourne’s south-east.

Surveillance footage captures the scene on a tranquil suburban street, where a scuffle quickly intensifies.

In the video, a suspect appears to draw a knife, trapping the 19-year-old victim on a porch in Pakenham.

The young man attempts to shield himself, sustaining a cut on his arm, but manages to escape shortly thereafter.

Local man Norman Vellien said he was “shocked”.

“We didn’t expect this to happen right next door to our house,” he said.

Police allege the teens pulled up next to the victim and his mate in a stolen Range Rover.

When their demands weren’t met a brawl erupted outside an innocent couple’s house.

The chaos unfolded in broad daylight.

Melodie Vellien said they’re glad their son wasn’t close by.

“Imagine if my son was just outside playing, you know, he would be caught,” she said.

The female allegedly made off with the victim’s bag while he stumbled to a nearby station and was taken to hospital.

The 14-year-old alleged attacker was on bail at the time.

He has been remanded in custody, while a 16-year-old boy and girl have been charged and released back into the community.

“They need to be more penalised for what they’re doing. Because they’re not scared,” Mrs Vellien said.
