The president is momentarily stepping away from the conflict in Iran to pay a visit to a site steeped in rock and roll legacy.
Donald Trump is in Memphis, Tennessee, for an official engagement and has expressed plans to tour Graceland, the iconic residence of Elvis Presley, during his stay.
“I think I’m going to visit Graceland after this, is that correct?” Trump remarked during a session with the Memphis Safe Task Force.
However, Trump isn’t the sole member of the White House exploring the local attractions; Attorney General Pam Bondi and War Secretary Pete Hegseth have also taken the opportunity to enjoy the sights.
Throughout the years, Trump has frequently drawn parallels between himself and Elvis Presley.
In early 2024, Trump on social media posted a composite photograph with half Presley’s face on one side and his own on the other.
“For so many years people have been saying that Elvis and I look alike. Now this pic has been going all over the place,” Trump wrote. “What do you think?”
