A man was shot in the leg in south-east Queensland in what police believe was a targeted attack.

Emergency services were called to Kingston Road in Slacks Creek, Logan, about 8.19am today after reports of a street disturbance.

Police found a 35-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Police say three people, two men and one woman in their 20s, were seen leaving the area on foot.

The incident is believed to be targeted and there is no ongoing threat to the community.

Police are asking to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has vision within the vicinity from 8am to come forward.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
