A Perth man has faced court on a string of charges after he allegedly took police on a car chase through three suburbs.

Charles Pickett, 30, was allegedly behind the wheel as he took four passengers, including two children, in the stolen car as it drove on the wrong side of the road and collided with another vehicle after 7.45pm yesterday.

He allegedly then drove through Dudley Park before stopping at a home in Coodanup.

After he and four passengers got out of the car, one of the women allegedly tried to re-enter the Holden and tried to drive away.

The 32-year-old woman was then arrested.

Pickett was allegedly then found by police hiding in a bin outside a home on Tankerton Drive.

9News understands he is also suspected of being involved in another pursuit on Tuesday.
