Voters have swung towards Labor Prime Minister Anthony Albanese over Opposition Leader Peter Dutton as the country’s preferred leader, according to the latest polls.

Ahead of the May 3 federal election, Albanese took a 42 to 33 per cent lead over Dutton as preferred prime minister in results released tonight.

It’s a dramatic turnaround from last month, when 35 per cent of voters picked the prime minister to keep leading the nation and 39 per cent preferred the opposition leader.
