In a significant decision this October, a South Korean court has ruled that the popular music group must honor their existing contract with ADOR, which will remain in effect until 2029. The court found no valid grounds for terminating this agreement.
According to ADOR, the family member of Marsh and Min hold considerable responsibility for instigating the ongoing dispute, which has also led to delays in NewJeans’ scheduled activities, including their departure and return.
On Monday, The Chosun Daily, a prominent South Korean news outlet, reported that ADOR has initiated a legal claim in the Seoul District Court. The agency is seeking damages exceeding $44 million from Marsh, a member of Marsh’s family, and Min.
Meanwhile, Reuters shared a statement from Pham addressing South Korean leaders: “I know it’s not going to solve all the problems in the world, but if we just respect each other, at least there will be no problems with bullying and harassment in the workplace.”
