Following a spell of unusually high temperatures, it’s typical for a cooling trend to ensue, resulting in a drop in temperatures, as noted by the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM).
This shift to cooler, windier weather is expected to sweep through Sydney on Sunday, gradually advancing up the north coast of New South Wales.
The BoM advises communities to stay vigilant for Severe Thunderstorm Warnings during this period.
Additionally, the BoM has confirmed that smoke has traveled from a fire in Yowrie, located in the southern part of the state.
The BoM also forecasts that this weather system might move over northwest Queensland on Tuesday and Wednesday, potentially developing into a low-pressure system.
