Queensland Police have searched a luxury beachside unit owned by prominent surgeon Dr Reza Adib, the partner of former premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

This afternoon, the usually serene beachside area of Burleigh Heads became the focus of police activity as officers were observed entering and exiting a particular unit. They were seen carrying out bags filled with what appeared to be evidence.

The police clarified that this evidence collection is part of an ongoing investigation. Despite the flurry of activity, no charges have been filed at this time.

Importantly, authorities emphasized that Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is not implicated in the investigation. In fact, it’s possible she has no knowledge of the events unfolding at the location.

It’s worth noting that Palaszczuk and her partner have been in a relationship since 2021, adding a layer of public interest to the situation.

The pair have been together since 2021.

The search comes as Palaszczuk attends an event at Robina Library tonight to promote her new book, The Politics of Being Me.
