In a poignant return to Bondi Beach, Al Ahmed revisited the scene for the first time since the tragic incident that claimed the lives of 15 people. Speaking with 60 Minutes, he recounted the moment he chose to intervene during the alleged attack.
“I remember everything,” he shared with the program. Emphasizing his emotional response, he added, “I was screaming and swearing, the Aussie way.”
Driven by his deep connection to the country, Al Ahmed described his instinctive reaction. “I would give my blood and my heart for Australia. I just saw it and thought, ‘do it,'” he recalled.
He also revealed the defiant words he directed at the alleged gunman during the chaos. “I shouted ‘motherf—er!'” Al Ahmed recounted, showcasing his fearless confrontation at that critical moment.
“[I shouted] ‘motherf—er!’” Al Ahmed said.
Al Ahmed also returned to Bondi Beach for the first time since the shooting, where several members of the public thanked him and expressed gratitude for his courageous actions.
