Authorities are on the lookout for seven individuals after a group was captured on CCTV, forcefully breaking into a residence and making off with two BMWs during a violent home invasion in Logan, located south of Brisbane.

The perpetrators were seen scaling the tall fence of a Rochedale South residence around 1:30 am today, leisurely surveying the property before executing their plan.

Investigators are also exploring the possibility that this group is responsible for five similar overnight home invasions, during which vehicles and other valuable items were taken.

“We had everything secured—gates, alarms, cameras. They inspected all the doors and windows on the ground floor. Their only entry point was to break through the door,” the homeowner recounted.

With a rock and metal pole in hand, the group proceeded to do just that.

An alarm scared off one intruder while the others were confronted by one of the homeowners inside.

“There’s so much damage inside, they’ve thrown rocks through the window to get through, it smashed our stone benchtop, the floor’s all scratched from the volume of glass,” the victim said.

The group grabbed keys and headed for the garage, stealing the family’s two BMWs.

“They hit the pylon of the side of the house when they drove forward, they threw a steel pole at my hubby when he confronted them in the garage,” the homeowner said.

Both of the vehicles have been found, but the offenders remain on the run.

Police say they are hunting at least seven people.

Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
