A new rash on the right side of US President Donald Trump‘s neck is the result of a cream that he’s using as a “preventative skin treatment,” his personal physician told CNN.

President Trump is currently using a widely available cream on the right side of his neck as a precautionary skin treatment, according to a statement by Dr. Sean Barbabella.

Dr. Barbabella explained that the treatment is scheduled to last for a week, with any resulting redness expected to persist for a few weeks afterward.

While the doctor did not disclose the specific reason for the treatment, the White House has yet to comment on the president’s condition.

During a Medal of Honor ceremony earlier in the day, a reddish area was noticeable on the president’s neck, extending from above his shirt collar to just beneath his ear.

Last year, President Trump also underwent two examinations at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. One of these visits included a cardiovascular imaging procedure, as confirmed by Dr. Barbabella.

Barbabella has maintained for months that Trump is healthy, writing in December that he “remains in excellent overall health.”
