A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after an alleged antisemitic incident in Melbourne on Monday.
A video surfaced showing a white pickup truck, which authorities claim was stolen, trailing and encircling a group of Jewish teenagers in St Kilda East around 9:50 p.m.
Those inside the truck reportedly made Nazi salutes and yelled derogatory remarks.
Police apprehended a 15-year-old in Carrum yesterday morning, questioning him about the incident.
The teenager from Yarra Ranges was also interrogated regarding multiple other suspected crimes in the city’s southeastern area.
He faces charges of vehicle theft and has been released on bail, with a scheduled appearance in a children’s court at a future date.
The investigation into the St Kilda East incident continues and detectives are seeking a second teen believed to have been involved.
